Churches of Christ Community Care is a not-for-profit community organisation that operates residential aged care facilities, retirement villages and retirement units for elderly people. The organisation offers diverse aged care services such as low care services, high care services, respite care services, dementia care services, assisted living services and community care programs. The organisation operates four high care facilities at Betheden, Fred Combridge House, Oak Towers and Arcadia. Betheden nursing home provides high care facilities to elderly people requiring 24-hour nursing care services. High care services such as personal care services, medication management, meals service and mobility assistance are provided by the facility’s staff.
Accommodation is provided in a combination of single or double rooms with attached ensuites at all high care facilities of the organisation. Hairdressing services and laundry services are also provided to the residents. Residents living with dementia are provided with experienced care-givers, specifically trained to care for dementia-specific residents. Auxiliary treatment programs such as physiotherapy and podiatry services are also available at these high care facilities. The facilities also offer pastoral care through their chaplain to provide emotional and spiritual support to the residents. Recreation programs and activities are planned to involve every resident of the facility and encourage active participation.
